  5. concert pianists and teachers; in Guilford, Vt. A skilled
  6. technician, he hailed from the Viennese tradition that mingled
  7. the instrument's classical and romantic styles. In 1950 he
  8. helped found the Marlboro Music Festival in Vermont as a summer
  9. workshop for young and experienced musicians to play together.
